    Hi all. Quick question please if someone could answer

    The MCQ. I can’t remember from last time. But if you use the August updates for instance on this page . It is likely you could get some questions from earlier months also ? Or is the August updates mostly what you will see and no questions from earlier months ?

    When they change the MCQs on friday, are these new questions valid on friday or next monday? I need to know to schedule the exam tomorrow.

  14. Chui
    September 5th, 2019

    @Anonymous it changes anytime no one knows/ I do not think there is a clear pattern as when it changes.

    @Anon111 reading from past comments/ if MCQ changes at least for few days you might still get questions from previous batch.

    I have learned over the years/ it always touch and go…if you are lucky nothing changes. No guarantee at all.

    Goodluck

    99% sure Aug MCQ 12 wrong here; the ping sources from the router, therefore the remote IP cannot be in the source field of the packet transiting an input filter. Input filters would look at the packet coming in to the interface, not the traffic sourced elsewhere going out the interface – otherwise it would be an output filter. Even if the ping was from the remote device, the reply packet hitting the filter would still have a source from the 10.1.1 network – therefore the answer is D not E (A, B are wrong because the source IP is in the wrong subnet for the direction of the filter, C is wrong because it has a 0.0.0.15 mask that wouldn’t match the source).

    Also 99% sure MCQ 7 is wrong as that’s not valid syntax for an MD5 key on HSRP.

    Otherwise dead on.

    Took the CCNP Trouble shoot yesterday and I passed with a 964 MCQ were from the August 4th update. The Tickets were there the BGP and HSPR Simlets were there as well.

  41. Alekhine1986
    September 11th, 2019

    @skm the only one that you have to change is the BGP sim the rest only answer the questions.

  42. pneuma
    September 11th, 2019

    @Someone. Nope your wrong on AugV.1 question 12. The acl is to be applied to the input side of the interface meaning it will only see icmp replies from the host (aka the source of the reply is the host) and the destination is the router which does fit into the subnet. 10.1.1.0/27 or a range of .1 to .31

    access-list 101 permit icmp host 172.16.10.100 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.31

  43. Anonymous
    September 11th, 2019

    @pneuma; run it in gns3 and get a capture. input filter sees the IP of the switch as the source.

  44. Anonymous
    September 12th, 2019

    @Somone

    Please do a lab to verify the answer, if you think that is not correct.

    The ACL applied with IN BOUND . Remeber Ping is both way.. when the ping return.
    it using 172.16.10.100 as source IP and destination IP is that router 10.1.1.25/24

    So access-list 101 permit icmp host 172.16.10.100 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.31 is correct.

    other one because wildcard mask not correct. (not 10.1.1.25 not in range)

    Where can i find the MCQ?
    i don’t see the questions and no links to the queations

  46. pneuma
    September 12th, 2019

    @Anonymous
    Ran it on a live lab and confirmed when capturing on the input of the interface the source is the host. If you are getting different results in gns3 then there is an issue with gns3. Notice the source address inthe reply aka the return from the host.

    1 09:06:48.94 10.1.1.25 172.16.10.100 ICMP Echo (ping) request id=0x0013, seq=0/0, ttl=255 (reply in 2)
    2 09:06:48.94 172.16.10.100 10.1.1.25 ICMP Echo (ping) reply id=0x0013, seq=0/0, ttl=254 (request in 1)

    September 12th, 2019

    Does anyone know how often the questions change?

    I take the test shortly and I’m afraid…

  48. Anon
    September 13th, 2019

    CCNPeMan: I actually studied all MCQs here because I was aiming for perfect score – but only the Aug MCQs were in the exam. Nonetheless, I still recommend to study all so you’ll have no regrets.

    PS. I did not get perfect score as I messed up with one ticket. I assumed it was IPv4 without double checking it’s IPv6 and thought it was a repeat question. I realized my mistake as soon as I clicked Next Question. LOL

    @Anon and Someone
    You can question my response to Aug Q12 but passed with 1000 using
    access-list 101 permit icmp host 172.16.10.100 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.31

    Maybe you should lab it.:-)’
