Note: The last day to take this TSHOOT 300-135 exam is February 23, 2020. After this day you have to take new Enterprise exams to get new CCNP Enterprise certification. If you want to find out more about the new exams please visit here.

This article is devoted for candidates who took the TSHOOT exam to share their experience. Please tell us what are your materials, the way you learned, your feeling and experience after taking the TSHOOT v2.0 exam… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…

Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

@Networking, I have contacted you via gmail. Kindly advise.
@Tshoothelp, all questions were from here except one or two. I saw about three D&Ds all from here. Will post once i recall.
@Naty, i have sent you email
@Cobra2217, the VPN question involved a long exhibt and then at end, they asked protocol types to enable trhe communication. All the MCQs from here except may be one which they twerked a bit. There was also something about ACL which had TIME RANGE in it.

In fact i was disappointed with the score of 948. Because i answered everything correctly and in full. thought i would get 1000

  11. Kokane
    August 13th, 2019

Premium account is the way to go as it enables you to practice all the tickets until they become second nature. SAM’s strategy worked well except on one IPv6 ticket which i think the twerked a little. It’s like R1 fails to ping R3 interface which would then make R2 to be enabled for ospf area 0. But that is not the answer. All other tickets according to SAM’s strategy. Both BGP and HSRP sims in the exam

    Just passed the exam. 9XX/1000

Premium is valid. I didnt see anything new. All the Tickets and MCQ are available here.

Regarding that ‘new’ MCQ with the Access List:
    the correct answer is

    permit icmp host 172.16.10.100 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.31

the ACL is on the Router E0/0 interface applied *inbound*!!
The ping gets blocked on the way back. Therefor you need to allow source 172.x.x.x and dest 10.x.x.x

Theres also the answer permit icmp host 172.16.10.100 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.15 but it is wrong as the wildcard mask is not big enough to include the 10.1.1.25 IP address of the Router E0/0 interface.

Im gonna check by here now and then if you have any questions.

@CiscoDudeYEG. I just looked at it on GNS3. Having the tunnels without any ip address on either one, will show “Tunnel 1 Unassigned YES NVRAM Up down”. So, I will say that A is correct. I cant post a pic, or I would.

    @CiscoDudeYEG
there are only three reasons for a GRE tunnel to be in the up/down state:
+ There is no route, which includes the default route, to the tunnel destination address.
+ The interface that anchors the tunnel source is down.
+ The route to the tunnel destination address is through the tunnel itself, which results in recursion

Passed with 948/1000 = “PATS DAM POOR TO BORN”. Not needed. Just helps with time management.

    ASW1 – (P)ort Security, (A)ccess VLAN, (T)runk, (S)witch mode
    DSW1 – (D)HCP helper, (A)ccess-(M)ap VLAN filter
    R4 – (P)assive interface, (O)SPF->EIGRP permit, (O)SPF->EIGRP route-map, (R)IPZONE
    R3 – (T)unnel interface 34
    R2 – (O)SPF Area 0
    R1 – (B)GP Neighbor, (O)SPF message-digest, (R)1 ACL, (N)AT ACL

    – Had secondary NAT ticket. “nat inside” was on ISP (outside) interface & R2 interface.

    – Had the MCQ with large router exhibits asking what needed to be permitted after Block 101 ACL was applied to the ingress interfaces; UDP, GRE, or ESP? I answered ESP. But, really it would be UDP (UDP500) and ESP. Still not sure the “Cisco” answer. Tunnel protection was enabled, and the ACL was applied to the physical interface and NOT the VTI; so, it wouldn’t be GRE. No mention of NAT (that I saw), otherwise it would be UDP. But, maybe because the public tunnel IPs were RFC-1918 (can’t remember), it would be UDP, assuming NAT-T? But mode was tunnel…so still no idea.

I have just passed the exam, 982/1000. Something in MCQ i did wrong probably questions with VPN technology. All questions are from August, i had HSRP and BGP simlets. Tickets are same as here. I face these tickets: 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 11b only, 13, 15, 16, 17. SAM Strategy for IPv6 not working btw. You should be carefully for this.

@To all who think that we have “new” MCQ, there is no new MCQ just the contents of question is a little bit different form here but Answers remain same as here. You just need to be focused when you choose the right answer.
