Please tell us what are your materials, the way you learned, your feeling and experience after taking the TSHOOT v2.0 exam… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…

Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

  25. Stig_43
    August 15th, 2019

    Hi
    Passed today 9XX/1000
All my tickets were on here
    HSRP SIM perfect
BGP SIM – Read the question right through
It tells you that when you are done, issue sh bgp route, your table should look like the example they give
I had to add network command for the Loopback on R1 also
When I did this I issued sh bgp route again, and it looked the same.
There were a couple of MCQs not on here which seemed tricky (you know how they word their questions!), but my score reflects how much was

  26. Bigheart
    August 15th, 2019

    @Stig-43
    What is logic/strategy behind tickets.

  27. Charlie
    August 15th, 2019

@ Ebbo, this SAM’s strategy will not work on IPv6 tickets. Ping will not work, i dont know why but i think is some kind of bug maybe. Be carefully!! for IPv4 Tickets it will work ;)

    Hi,
I Passed Tshoot exam today..got 983/1000..All TT from this site. No new any TT tickets. but I didn’t used sam’s strategy..I used my own way according to tshoot tickets..But it’s depends tickets from tickets.

As I remember I got All the IPv6 tickets, those are same as in this site. so don’t worry..practice all the Tickets using EveNg Emulator.

Simlet- BGP & HSRP – without any changes.

Mcqs- I had Auguest MCQ’s as well as Jun MCQ’s

    24 questions loaded for me.

Pls do it. IF you are already practiced it..don’t be worry

I did this without any membership…

    Thanks Certprepare & Community Guys.

    @Bigheart
Use Sam Strategy on IPv4 tickets, you can use Client 1 for pinging
Sam Strategy doesn’t work on IPv6

  30. Empoy
    August 15th, 2019

    I just passed today…. exactly 846. lol
the premium membership really helps me to pass this exam.
It just took me 4days to prepare and pass.
Lucky me as last week, with 1 week of preparation, also passed the ROUTE exam with exactly 790 passing score as well. lol
This is not a recommended way of passing these exams as you need to understand them very well especially you need them in the real world.
I just found it hard to adopt to cisco’s syntax in a few days of preparation.

All MCQs are from here -August 4 update and new from the comment section (acl)
tickets are all available here (got a trouble in 1 ticket wherein i can ping 10.2.1.1 but can’t see the problem at R4 (Redistribution/ route map/passive interface problems)
it seems I need to remove the “auto-summary” but didn’t chose it since it is not found on the tickets here.
Also got a mistake for Layer 3 unknowingly.) Ipv6 SAM’s ping test is not working, just try to serach for the trouble for each as there is only 3 trouble tickets for IPv6.

DD- are Debug and ping traceroute.

Goodluck to all and thank you again for this helpful community! :)

    I used SAM mainly.

Where I can find ACL Mcqs. I have seen Aug and June Mcqs but can’t find ACL Mcqs

  40. Stig_43
    August 15th, 2019

    @Bigheart
I just used the MCQs on this site…
There was an ACL question to allow ping from a particular host.
    Something like
Permit icmp 10.1.1.0 255.255.255.240 host 172.16.1.10 was the answer I chose
I chose this option as it referred to a particular host which was mentioned in the question.

  41. JW
    August 15th, 2019

    Passed my test today. 900+

All MCQ are still valid for August plus the access list question.

I got both the HSRP and BGP sims

    All tickets are still valid.

    what are the ACL Q ????? @JW

  43. Ha9_009
    August 16th, 2019

For asking about ACL question , i searched before pages and found below , People tink that answer B is correct

What is the answer to these Questions:

which 1 did you choose your answer on the access-group question:

    A. permit ICMP host 170.x.x.x 10.x.x.x 0.0.0.255
    B. permit ICMP host 170.x.x.x 10.x.x.x 0.0.0.3
    C. permit ICMP 10.x.x.x 0.0.0.255 170.x.x.x 0.0.0.255
    D. permit ICMP 10.x.x.x 0.0.0.255 host 170.x.x.x

  45. Tibi
    August 16th, 2019

Hi I passed yesterday all 100% only VPN 67%.
I had the question about the router L — router C —-router R and choose ESP as I was thinking the tunnel in Tunel Mode and not Transparent mode, maybe i got it wrong.
Also had this question with ACL that is missing here:
    A. permit ICMP host 170.x.x.x 10.x.x.x 0.0.0.255
    B. permit ICMP host 170.x.x.x 10.x.x.x 0.0.0.3
    C. permit ICMP 10.x.x.x 0.0.0.255 170.x.x.x 0.0.0.255
    D. permit ICMP 10.x.x.x 0.0.0.255 host 170.x.x.x

the ACL is applied inbound of the router that is pinging so I selected the
permit ICMP host 170.x.x.x 10.x.x.x 0.0.0.31 as this was covering the Ip of the host the other wildcard mask was like 0.0.0.15 or less.
Got the BGP simlet with both issue in it the IBGP and EBGP like here and also the Tickects.

Where I could download packet tracer 6.1 STUDENT version

  47. Mghi
    August 16th, 2019

Passed yesterday with 965/1000, 95% as premium membership questions.

In the IPV6 RIP_ZONE redistribute ticket, you cannot ping from 2026::1:1 on. Use a “show run” and you will be fine.

Also, there is one MCQ, that same scenario with the Time Range ACL, but the query is to resolve a ping issue from interface eth0/0 to a host on 172.16.100.1 with an ACL line.
    access-list 101 icmp permit 10.10.10.0 0.0.0.255 host 172.16.100.1 (seemed the best option)

    Good luck, peace
