I went already through all of them – using ANKI to fix the trickiest ones in my mind… tomorrow I will start the quiz simulations here; also I made two booklets: one with all the labs and the other one with all the relevant configurations and commands emerged from the book, these Qs and my in-depth analysis throughout the web and GNS3.

It’s sad that most of these Qs are thought in order to deceive the participant (even worse than ENCOR! Btw: what in the world does a Viptela Q has to share with ENARSI program?) and few ones deal with real world experience, but this holy website is the consequence of their bad faith.

I will advise you study both 1 and 2. I took my test last week and passed. I prepared heavily for 1 because someone had said that was what they got. Surprisingly I got 2 on my test and because I had looked over the configs before the exam, I was able to solve it. Please practice all the sims in scope and understand the configs from scratch as everyone’s sim has a bit of difference

Passed the exam today!!! All 3 Labs are in the start of the exam.
1st: VRF & EIGRP Sim – same here(just different router AS), I did not get the ACL Block on the interface however R2>R4 is configured with EIGRP authentication(key-chain): one of the two router is configure so you should be good but I do suggest you study it.
2nd: DHCP IP SLA & NetFlow 2 – same here. Tricky part on the SLA as it is pre-configured with path-echo, just need to reconfigured the sla using icmp-echo and don’t forget enabling it(start-time & schedule). NetFlow is exactly the same.
3rd. DMVPN OSPF Sim – same here. HO was not configured so remember the commands to build HUB configuration. Additionally, make sure that Tunnel protection(isakmp and ipsec) is configured the same on all Routers, tunnel mode is transport on all Routers so NO need to change it. Bounce the tunnels after configuring Task 2 as it should bring up the DMVPN.

Tip: Study and familiarize CLI commands as I used most of my time troubleshooting the DMVPN Lab. READ the TASKS carefully as it is mostly the HINTS you need to work on. Please do not deviate from the tasks to make it work.

I passed the exam today!!! 4 Labs and 31 MCQs. Got all 4 Labs in the start of the exam.
Labs tasks are not exactly same as here so study the concepts in every topic.

1. DMVPN Lab – Totally deviated from here. Have to config both Hub and Spoke routers. All are partially configured. Network-id only configured in one spoke. Tunnel destination commands are configured in Spoke routers.
Isakmp and IPsec configurations are partially configured and have to complete them. Crypto iskmp key and address are only configured in one Spoke. Transport mode is configured. Have to add the preconfigured transform-set into IPsec profile as well. You need to study the IPsec configuration well before going to exam, otherwise it will take lot of time to find and complete the configuration incompletions in this lab.

2. DHCP IP SLA & NetFlow 2 Lab – DHCP and NetFlow part same as here. In IP SLA, IPs are different and preconfigured with path-echo. So, have to delete ip sla and reconfigure with icmp-echo and then schedule and start it. Track is not configured so, have to configure it.

3. VRF & EIGRP Lab – Two VRFs are Finance and Admin. EIGRP process id and VRF AS numbers are different from here. R2 and R3 are preconfigured with ipv4 address-family, autonomous-system and network configuration. In R3, EIGRP process and autonomous-system numbers are misconfigured. So, have to reconfigure the R3 EIGRP configuration again. EIGRP authentication have to be configured between R3 and R4. In R4, ‘ip authentication mode eigrp md5’ command is missing in the interface. Also. key-strings are different in R3 and R4, so have to configure key-string in R4 as same as in R3.

4. Redistribution & PBR Sim Lab – Tasks are as same as here.

Most of the MCQs are from here. Maybe around 2,3 new MCQs.
Since all Labs are in the start, have to manage the time in Labs, otherwise you will run out of time for MCQs in later part.

friend of mine did it
4 sims + 31 questions – 1 or 2 drag n drops
4th sim is redis and pbr sim 1 (the other version)
dhcp ip sla and netflow was the same as here
vrf eigrp was the same
dmvpn – config only hub – no ip sec

@Anonymous Yes, topology is same as the DMVPN OSPF sim

Please update your lab questions urgently. The tasks differ from the ones stated here. Only the topology diagrams are the same. Had a hard time fixing the root cause even when I follow the commands here “no auto-summary”, “no access group” still unable to ping dest IP. Wasted 1 hr on 4 SIM and ended failing.

@Wed Li For IP SLA lab, did you have to change the IPs in the 2 static routes or just add the “track 5” behind static route 1?

Passed the exam today.
Got 4 labs and 35 MCQs , same topology as here
Lab 1. DHCP , IP SLA , cache time out
Task 1- Default router ip was wrong need to reconfigure.
Need to configure ip helper address in SW1

Task 2- ip SLA was already configured for tcp-connect 5.5.5.5 80 but it was not scheduled and also frequeny was not added, I tried to add frequency 10 it gave error so I changed the frequency to 100 it worked also need to configure # ip sla responder on r5(5.5.5.5. Loopback address)

Task 3 – it was something related to cache time out , sorry I just remember keywords , remain active for this much need to change active , inactive . I didn’t know how to how to configure this so I didn’t spend much time on it.

Lab 2 – VRF , EIGRP exactly same as here

Lab 3 – dmvpn
Need to configure hub , hub was already configured so you need to make sure if any commands left to configure, there were some commands missing in the spokes need to add , also for crypto ipsec , make sure you understand how to add commands if there is any missing. Need to remove destination ip configured on spokes. Nothing much different from the commands used in the lab here.

Lab 4 pbr redistribution
It was same as the pbr redistribution sim 1 and below it there is another version of pbr redistribution , that another version is coming in the exam , there will be little change about which loopback to ping but config is same

Task 1 . R9 loopback is pingable from r5 (instead of r3 as mentioned in network tut lab)
Do the config same but there was no distance 255 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 configured for EIGRP so you don’t have to delete it , distance was given 85 for rip

Task 2 . R2 will reach r5 following the path r2 r4 r3 r5 , same config as here

Task 3. Configure pbr

Need to delete 120 and 110 access list and reconfigure them just with the permit statement
Route map is already configured with the match ip address , you just need to add the next hop ip in route map. Also pbr is already configured on the interface.you don’t have to do it again

My two cents
Don’t spend much time on troubleshooting, I left two tasks.

Hi, passed the exam last week.
4 lab and 31 question (no drag and drop).
1. Redistribution same as here – Delete distance 255… , add redistribution with K1,2,3,4,5 values and add next hop to pbr (route map, match ip and access list already configured)

2. DHCP, IP SLA, sample-1 – IP SLA and netflow same as in lab 1. DHCP part was combination of the 2 labs, R6 already got IP address assigned but the task specifiys that we need a specific IP address (configure ip address dhcp client-id Ethernet0/0 and shut /no shut)

3. DMVPN – need to configure both hubs, HQ already done (Hubs included the ip osfp commands, and there was an ip nhrp auth AdRt command needed, IPsec preconfigured)

4. VRF EIGRP – same as here (had a task specifically mention to remove auto summary)

Sadly did not have the time to go over all available question, so can really comment on how many new ones. But luckily it was enough.

VICTORY!!! Finally, my friends, VICTORY!!!

Just passed today!!! Got 4 labs and 35 questions, more or less like Someone said, but with some little differences:

DMVPN: not only you gotta retype all crypto ipsec sections (copy/paste does NOT work!) but phase 3 is required, so also remove the tunnel destination AND the “no ip redirects”; btw, OSPF is VERY SLOW to converge, so it might also take a minute before you can ping, you can maybe force it with shut/no shut, but the offered hw sucks…

All the 4 labs take approx 1 hour and then you have run over the 35 questions, so you gotta be QUICK, which means that one month daily hammering is ABSOLUTELY needed; also, without deep ENARSI knowledge it could be easy to fall in the labs tweaks, so please study hard before doing networktut!!!

This has been my method, you may get inspired by it:
-read and understand cert guide (a badly written book, btw) carefully and underline commands and key explanations
-reread cert guide quickly and write up a commands summary on your PC, it will be pure gold afterwards (also check it against AI – chatgpt for cisco syntax is garbage – deepseek is way better!)
-choose your favourite video course to follow explanations and exercises, in my opinion the BEST one is ENARSI by Arash Deljoo on Udemy, this guy is able to teach to stones!
-ONLY THEN start networktut, doing ALL questions: whenever you find a question out of blueprint deepen it!!! Cisco expects you to know more than they ask – unfair, but we got networktut!!!
-Whenever there are obsure/difficoult questions make a snapshot of them and create your questions deck on ANKI (google “ankiweb”): they will become flashcards whose frequency you can personalise; these people who created this ANKI software are geniuses, and it’s free too!
-after all the hammering on difficoult questions, finally start networktut quizzes, first the 20Q ones, then, when exam gets closer and you feel more solid, begin with 60Q tests.
-during ALL THE TIME have a configured GNS3 on your side, it will provide invaluable feedback both for labs and for syntax!

With such a preparation, unless all planets align, you cannot fail!

Unfortunately, I did not pass the exam.

I wanted to share my notes and the questions I encountered for future reference. There was also an error during one of the simulation questions that I could not identify the cause of, so I would appreciate any insight you may have.

The simulation questions were particularly challenging.

I encountered the following three simulation scenarios:

1. VRF + EIGRP
2. DMVPN + OSPF
3. DHCP + IP SLA + NetFlow

### 1. VRF + EIGRP

I could tell that the question was designed to confuse candidates by using different AS numbers from the practice questions and by mixing up the combinations of VRFs and AS numbers.

The overall scenario was similar to the practice questions. However, there were many unnecessary or incorrect `network` commands in the existing configuration, and it took quite a while to identify which ones were wrong.

Eventually, I realized that it would probably have been faster to remove the incorrect configuration and rebuild it myself based on the topology.

Unfortunately, by the time I realized this, I had already spent too much time on the question and started to panic.

### 2. DMVPN + OSPF

For this simulation, I had to identify and correct configuration errors and missing commands on the hub and all of the spoke routers.

The `crypto isakmp key` command was missing from all of the routers.

Since I did not know what password/pre-shared key to use, I ended up leaving it unconfigured. After the exam, I wondered whether I should simply have chosen a password myself and configured the same key on all of the routers.

### 3. DHCP + IP SLA + NetFlow

This scenario was also very similar to the practice question.

However, there was one task where I needed to configure the following commands on R3’s E0/0 interface:

`ip flow monitor input`
`ip flow monitor output`

As soon as I applied these commands, a large number of logging messages appeared.

I cannot remember the exact error message, but I believe it contained something like “PEM” or “PM.”

I checked the NetFlow configuration, including the exporter’s destination and source settings, as well as the exporter and record configuration under the flow monitor, and everything appeared to be configured correctly.

I have also asked AI tools such as ChatGPT about the possible cause, but I have not been able to get a clear answer.

If there is anything you can determine from the information I have provided—particularly regarding the questions above or the cause of the NetFlow error—I would greatly appreciate your advice. I believe that understanding these points could make the difference in passing the exam next time.

One of the biggest lessons I learned from this attempt was how dangerous it is to spend too much time on a single simulation question. Once I spent too much time on one simulation, I became rushed, had less time for the remaining questions, and my overall performance suffered.

As you mentioned before, the simulation questions did indeed appear as the first three questions on the exam.

Had the exam today and passed!

I got 4 labs at the start of the the exam followed by multiple questions and DnD total of 31 questions.

Labs I got were:

DMVPN OSPF – Same as here. The only difference is the Task 1 only requires Hub configuration and Phase 1. Spokes are configured and any int tunnel config should not be removed. If you study the DMVPN, this task will be easy.

VRF EIGRP – Same as here. I didn’t got the ACL block between R4 and R3 same thing with authentication. Confirmed is the R6 needs to be reconfigured for EIGRP as it has incorrect AS causing it to not formed neighborship to R3.

DHCP + IP SLA + Netflow – Same here.

Redistribution + PBR (the other version) – this got me spending a bit of time due to multiple practice labs in here got mixed up during my attempt on the actual lab. Make sure to study this one to avoid confusion from the variants.

I encountered around 2-3 new questions and the rest are here.

I think the LABs are currently the 4 mentioned above. So, I suggest to focus on the LAB and make sure to learn the concepts for troubleshooting.

VRF with EIGRP – Different VRF name and AS number, don’t forget the no auto-summary

NETFLOW + DHCP + IPSLA – needed to adjust the network statement for dhcp server

Redistribution – Pretty much same with here but different subnets/IPs

DMVPN with EIGRP (I had a major problem with this, not sure if that’s a bug), Hub already preconfigured tunnel configs, but missing phase2, the issue that I had was the config for ‘ip nhrp map multicast dynamic’ on hub is not kicking in, I tried to put it but it is not showing in the actual config when checking. I tried save the config and also remove the entire config for the Hub tunnel but the config for ‘multicast dynamic’ still not kicking in. It took me an hour on this 1st question alone so I had to skip it. Luckily other questions were able to pull my score to pass since I got only 33% score on VPN Technology due to this problem.

Good luck guys! I now have time to catch up with my hobbies that I miss doing. hehe
